The Best Ever Pumpkin Spice Creamer

It's Fall, ya'll!

In all seriousness, Fall is my fav-o-rite time of year. It's the cool breeze, the colors on the trees, the warm drinks, the sweat shirts, boots and jeans. Fall is the beginning of (what I consider) holiday season. It's the calm before the storm. The only problem with Fall is that I wish it lasted a little longer. I would LOVE a few more slow, cool mornings before the Winter cold comes.

As you may know, we live in the Midwest where we have four distinct seasons. And, in my opinion, Summer and Winter dominate our weather and we have a brief Spring and Fall season.

So... you want to know what's making my mornings this Fall?? It's this Homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer!!

I was first inspired to make this creamer because I have fallen head over heals for Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. It has just the right amount of pumpkin spice without being overly sweet. Let's just say I have spent more money than I care to admit on these refreshing pumpkin drinks. And in an attempt to save my pocket book, I was determined to come up with a simple, tasty pumpkin version of my own.

If you're looking for a Starbucks copycat creamer, I think this recipe is better with the granulated sugar. But if you're more of the natural sweetener type, the maple syrup does an excellent job of sweetening while also adding to the Fall spice flavor. Feel free to adjust the maple syrup to your preferred sweetness.

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer

Ingredients:

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup sugar OR 1/2 cup maple syrup (your choice)

2 Tbsp pumpkin puree

2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

1 pinch of salt (optional)

2 cups whole milk (or milk of your choice)

2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Warm heavy cream on medium heat in sauce pan (do not allow to boil).

Add sugar or maple syrup (your choice). Stir. Allow to incorporate.

Add pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice and salt. Stir.

Add whole milk. Stir.

Add vanilla extract. Stir.

Turn off heat and allow to cool.

Once cooled, place in storage container and refrigerate.

Note: I prefer to strain through a fine mesh strainer before storing.

This creamer is just as delicious mixed with cold brew or hot coffee, however if you're looking to take it over the top.... I suggest the following.

1. Add desired amount of pumpkin creamer to a small cup/container. Froth with THIS handheld milk frother to up your foam game. You can also whisk by hand, if you like.

2. Add 1-2 pumps of your favorite vanilla syrup to the bottom of your coffee cup.

3. Add coffee of your choice (cold or hot).

4. Top your coffee with the pumpkin cream foam.

5. Dust with pumpkin pie spices.
